About Us
Carlisle One World Centre (COWC) is a local charity based in Carlisle city centre above Carlisle World Shop. Carlisle One World Centre began as a Churches Together in Carlisle initiative and we remain respectful of this heritage while welcoming members and support from all communities and faiths.
Through our activities we aim to:
- Raise awareness of how our actions as individuals, as communities and as a nation affect the wider world.
- Support the economically and socially deprived, both locally and globally.
- Campaign for justice throughout the world.

Resources
There are many books and magazines available to borrow from COWC and Sustainable Carlisle's One World library.
We also have a giant 3 x 3m Fairtrade Snakes and Ladders game which has been played and enjoyed by people of all ages all over Cumbria.

Room Hire
COWC has a counselling or small meeting room, available for hire at affordable rates. Carlisle One World Centre is an upstairs, discreet city centre venue. Refreshments are also available.
COVID-19 Guidelines are now in place to keep centre and its users safe.
